This track we are sharing with you guys today is called Penta Dub. It will be featured on our debut EP released this summer.
This track is a mix of one of our favourite genres (dub) with eastern pentatonic scaling (used often in traditional Chinese music).
The violin was played live, all other sounds were synthesized from scratch, except for the drums and the odd virtual instrument. The bass was programmed using native instruments FM8, the key skank sound was made in Serum. The guitar trill was converted into midi which then triggers a Koto virtual instrument in Kontakt. Massive was used for the slow mid range "womps."
