Good Afternoon Everyone,
Hurray today is the start of the World Cup!! I can’t wait!! I love football and I especially love the World Cup! Weeks and weeks of the beautiful game. I didn’t have any dreams last night… but I did suffer sleep paralysis again!!!
Wednesday 13th June 2018
So I woke up at midnight, 2am, 4am and 6am. I did finally drift off to sleep just after 6am. I somehow fell into a deep sleep. When I have sleep paralysis I generally see or feel someones presence, usually my husband. This time I heard my neighbour leave for work in his van. Then I remember looking at my phone and I saw on social media he had changed his profile picture to his mouth on a window blowing on it and there was a girl in the background who was wearing jeans and a black frilly bra. She looked like I did when I was 18.
I remember I was struggling to wake myself up. I was tossing and turning. I was screaming for attention, but no sound was coming out of my mouth. The duvet was over my face and I felt like I was suffocating. At one point I thought it was 'game over’. Eventually I did wake up. I checked the time and I was out for the count, but only for a short time. Not even 30 minutes worth. Then I felt my eyes were getting so heavy. I really didn’t want to fall back to sleep. I tried and I tried not to close my eyes. The inevitable happened. They blamed shut! I was so worried because I didn’t want to feel like I was gasping for breath again.
Thankfully I wasn’t in too much distress. I managed to wake up relatively easily, although I felt very drowsy and I really felt like I needed another 4 hours sleep. I went over to the window and I looked out. My neighbours van was still there. I knew I was in sleep paralysis mode. I saw my husband in the morning to tell him I suffered and I was calling out for him. He said I didn’t make any sound whatsoever. I know I was screaming at the top of my lungs for help, I knew no one would hear me.
I’m just glad I’m alive, it was just an episode and now I get to enjoy the football!!
