I'm back with The Underdogs!
It's been a very busy year between work, commissions and freelance projects, it's a little bit difficult to keep writing and working on The Underdogs project. But yesterday i finally made up my mind and decided to double my efforts to make this.
I have always liked the concept of the charactes in a story wearing themed clothes or uniforms (this is heavy influenced by Clamp) and here Is an example of that. The point of the story is to be fun and make you smile, and i try to reflect that with the charactes and the drawings i make of them.
The initial part of my process are the outlines. This is my favorito part and the one that takes mire time.
Then is color. Here i paint the base colors.
Now is shading. I work the shading on another layer, usually on multiply and with red or purple times.
And finally i add a gradient layer with two colors. To give the drawing a more uniform tone.
As you may noticed, this guys arent really into sports, just the robot-boy XD
