She is right. Drugs and Alcohol can only give you peace for few minutes or hours. When it expires in your system, you will go for more. For example, if you take one botle and it expires in few hours,you will take two botles, three, four botles so on and on. Before you know it,you became drunk,
Also for drugs, you take litle quantity and when it expires, you might increase the quanity. Maybe you are so upset and you decided to thriple the quantity of the drugs you take. That will lead to drug over dose.
You are looking for peace and comfort at the wrong place. Drug And Alcohol will only give you momentary peace but Jesus Christ will give you everlasting peace.
