New York’s Attorney General (AG) Letitia James has filed a court order to the state Supreme Court that has effectively suspended cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex and stablecoin Tether from doing business in the state. James’ court order refers specifically to both Bitfinex and Tether, as well as the exchange’s operator, the Hong Kong-based iFinex.
