The world is divided into different types of climate. They are
•polar • temperate • subtropical • tropical
• polar constantly cold; the land and sea are covered by thick ice sheets.
• Temperate changeable weather, with warm dry summers and mild winters.
• subtropical warm, with alternate dry and rainy seasons.
•Tropical constant hot temperatures and daily rain showers Never any seasonal changes.
Seasons : The season are caused by the Earth's orbits. For a few months each year half the Earth is tilted towards. the sun and gets strong heat rays, whilst the other half is tilted away and gets weak rays.
The position is gradually reversed through the year. When it is summer in one hemisphere it is winter in the other. In autumn and spring the two hemispheres are an equal distance from the rays
