A major CO2 polluter is our food. Many are currently researching alternatives. Instead of beef steak, insects are now served. But there are also many other cool foods that are climate-friendly and healthy. Here I would like to introduce the duckweed to you. The lentil is also called Wolffia.
Superfood
Apparently the wolffia should taste like bean sprouts & have a slightly grainy consistency. In China the wolffia has been eaten for a long time. The wolffia has many proteins, a lot of
Fibre and few carbohydrates.
In the future this superfood will play a greater role, especially in the vegetarian diet.
The Wolffia grows on the water surface and multiplies rapidly.
At the moment, attempts are being made to make this commercially attractive, because other organisms can also reproduce quickly, which makes the whole thing unprofitable.
Even if this food does not solve the climate problem, it is a step in the right direction and it offers a tasty alternative.

Ein großer CO2 Verursacher ist unsere Nahrung. Viele forschen momentan nach Alternativen. Anstatt einem Rindersteak werden jetzt Insekten serviert. Doch es gibt auch noch viele weitere coole Lebensmittel welche klimafreundlich sind und dabei auch noch gesund. Hier möchte ich euch die Wasserlinse vorstellen. Die Linse wird auch Wolffia genannt.

Anscheinend sollte die Wolffia wie Sojasprossen schmecken & eine leicht körnige Konsistenz haben. In China isst man die Wolffia schon länger. Die Wolffia hat viele Proteine, viel
Ballaststoffe und wenig Kohlenhydrate.
In Zukunft wird dieses Superfood einen größere Rolle spielen, vor allem in der vegetarischen Ernährung.
Die Wolffia wächst an der Wasseroberfläche und vermehrt sich rasend.
Momentan versucht man das noch kommerziell ansprechend zu gestalten, denn andere Organismen können sich auch schnell vermehren, was das Ganze noch unprofitabel macht.
Auch wenn mit diesem Essen das Klimaproblem nicht gelöst ist, Es ist ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung und es bietet eine geschmackliche Alternative.
