DEEPIKA PADUKONE CELEBRATED HER BIRTHDAY IN STYLE! HERE ARE THE DEETS...

Despite a good year overall, 2017 closed on a rough note for Deepika Padukone (on account of the Padmavati controversy) — so we’re delighted to say that she’s unwinding blissfully on her birthday today. After checking out a handful of churches, an opera house and several other architectural marvels in Vienna, Austria, in late December (she even attended midnight mass for the very first time last month), Deepika apparently jetted off to the Maldives for a family holiday. Now this vacay in the South Asian island country is particularly notable because the Padukone clan is said to have been accompanied by Deepika’s beau Ranveer Singh and his folks too.

While it isn’t the first time both beautiful Padmavati co-stars and their families have taken off on vacay together, never before has there been so much conjecture in the media on whether a secret engagement is the real reason for this sojourn. One big, discreet destination wedding (we mean Anushka and Virat’s of course) and now every celebrity getaway will be questioned.

Anyway, we hate to rely on rumours and won’t be adding any fuel to the ones that are already circulating, so let’s just wish darling Deepika and get on with it — since we do have more to say.

Living it up on her 32nd birthday (with an on-trend destination celebration), Deepika shared a picture of a beautiful blue sky punctuated with fluffy white clouds via her Instagram account today, simply captioning it: “Happy Birthday Sky”. We are, of course, left to wonder where in the world the picture has been captured, given that some reports suggest Deepika and Ranveer have now flown from the Maldives to Sri Lanka without the rest of their entourage. Though the details are sketchy (and confusing), we think it honestly doesn’t matter which island nation Deepika is vacationing in, so long as the sky stays blue and all the clouds that come her way in 2018 are awash with silver linings!
