Decentralized Robots? DTube Permanente

Have you ever thought about decentralized or peer-to-peer technology? Peer to Peer technology is maturing at a quick clip. Pushed forward by major investments into Blockchain technology, billions of dollars flooded the space during the past 18 months. Vint Cerf gave insight, specially involving smartphones back in 2007. Seeing the future decade before it played out, In the same talk he spoke about Peer to Peer Technology in a similar tone. Peer to peer technology is much more efficient in many cases versus centralized networks.

@Vaultec and I have talked about the future of peer-to-peer video sharing in the past weeks. He decided to develop a really powerful free software application called "DTube Permanente". DTube IPFS developments like DTube Permanente and One Love IPFS give users the opportunity to host and serve viewers content without having to worry about banning. This is the freedom that open source/free software can give.

If videos are being hosted by someone somewhere in the world people can eventually view them. This comes down to having at enough Seeders vs Leechers on the file to push the file through the network to your computer. As peer-to-peer technology requires no 3rd parties to transact or interact, this enables users from a range of diverse backgrounds to share their content around the world.

Head over to Gitlab to install DTube Permanente to start backing up and sharing your own content.
