Cryptos for good: Discussion for people that know the ins and outs of cryptos

Hi, I have these thoughts that do not want to seem to leave me alone. I'm not very fluent in the world of cryptos, so please bear with me:

We know that the banks see us as assets, they monetize our work. Well I think we should do that ourselves. Steem is an example of that. So every time we create something we get payed for that.

But even here on steemit, greed seems to be present (and in the world there is a lot of greed). We have been educated to love money and we are only 'worth' something if we have a job and we have money, preferably a lot of it. This in itself is of course highly unsustainable. The problem is that we measure everything according to 'growth'. growth says nothing about how we are feeling as human beings. So to survive all this, I think we need to change our values. We need to start to measure 'wellness' instead of 'growth'.

Wellness, including everything from the value of nature (not as a wood resource, but as a wellness resource, thus including us with nature, not excluding us), our stress levels, our health, our happiness (See what they are trying to do in Bhutan, with the 'gross national happiness' in stead of 'gross national product'). Cleaning our environment etc.

Soooo, my question is: Can cryptocurrencies help to do this, to basically 'create currency' when we plant a tree, when we clean up our environment etc.

If the answer is yes, then how would we set that up? Who decides if a deed we do, contribution to our society is worth the creation of currency?

Please give me your thoughts...
