You may have noticed the recent spike in Komodo followed by an abrupt decline.
One could speculate that the climb is related to the news of Komodo holders being rewarded with an airdrop in the near future.
SuperNET has yet to release a date as to this projected airdrop other than it will be coming soon.
Is it a new coin?
Not exactly..
According to jl777 the lead developer within SuperNET, it's an asset chain inside Komodo for revshare from Jumblr fees.
So it doesn't act as a competitor to Komodo but rather an enhancement to Komodo or an extension on the main Komodo project.
Komodo is an anon-coin or anonymous cryptocurrency.
In the crypto space this is one of the major areas among similar coins such as Cloakcoin, Monero, etc..
So how can you take advantage of this... airdrop?
When it gets released it will eventually get to exchanges and hardwallets..
But from my discussion with jl777 if you want to get your hands on some from the airdrop first, you'll have to make a wallet with Agama here:

After you've made a wallet, you'll need a Komodo balance; so you'll have to send your Komodo coins to the Agama wallet prior to the airdrop. Apparently there's a Jumblr site and more content to be released soon on the specifics; but this is just some of the information I've gathered communicating with the SuperNET team.
