What is Commun?
Commun serves as a web, Android, and iOS portal where users can form interest-based groups to share, read, watch, rank, and discuss content with like-minded people. The platform, comprised of decentralised autonomous communities (DACs), is the first Web-3 social network to launch since interest in the technology was shown following an outcry over censorship, de-platforming, and data-selling by social media giants.
Community on Commun is a decentralized and self-governed group based on particular thematics. They are fully independent, having their own economy and governance. The monetization of publications, likes, and comments is secured by smart-contract. Community members elect leaders by voting the nominees. CMN is a basic token of the platform. It can be utilized to create communities, issue community points, and vote for leaders. In the future, it will release the ad networks for the community. Each community has its own Points. It's a token of the second level. All community points are insured and redeemable with basic platform tokens (CMN tokens), and their creation is managed according to the bancor protocol. Points can be converted to CMN tokens, transferred to your friends, or exchanged to Points of other communities.
