Crowdfunding Innovation on a Global Scale

Crowdfunding Innovation on a Global Scale
Soon, those less fortunate than the rest of us will be able to participate in crowdfunding.

For those of you that don’t know, Crowdfunding is the use of small amounts of capital from a large number of individuals to finance new business ventures. It has the potential to increase entrepreneurship by expanding a pool of investors from whom funds can be raised beyond the traditional circle of owners, relatives and venture capitalists.

Previously, not a single crowdfunding platform has been available for all countries in the World. Even the big players such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo have not had a global presence.

The Acorn Collective are taking crowdfunding to the masses, no matter where they are. They will accept any legal and ethical project from any country which does not have comprehensive sanctions from the US OFAC. One can only imagine the plethora of potential projects, ideas and initiatives we have missed out on as a civilization up until now.

By being a decentralized blockchain platform, Acorn are able to establish themselves globally.

The Acorn Collective will be providing a market place, where funders can market and promote their projects with new customers or existing investors and stakeholders.

Let’s a take a look at some of the inventions which originated from third world countries. These are the lucky ones who were discovered. Looking forward, it won’t be long until we can take advantage of new perspectives to problem solving, solution design and life-style improvements from the less fortunate who have had no platform previously.

Born in Akure, Nigeria; Philip Emeagwali’s schooling was suspended in 1967 as a result of the Nigerian Civil War. At 13 years, he served in the Biafran army.

Often refereed to as “The Bill Gates of Africa,” as an adult Emeagwali began studying nature, specifically bees. The construction of the honeycombed inspired him to rethink computer processing. In 1989, he put this idea to work, using 65,000 processes to invent the world’s first super computer — able to perform 3.1 billion calculations per second.

Arthur Zang from Cameroon is the inventor of the CardioPad; a touch-screen medical tablet which enables heart examinations (similar to ECG) to be performed remotely. The results are transferred to specialists wirelessly for further analysis.

Rachid Yazami is the inventor of the graphite anode (negative pole) of lithium ion batteries. As a Moroccan scientist, in 1980 Yazami was the first scientist to establish the reversible intercalation of lithium into graphite in an electrochemical cell using a polymer electrolyte. Eventually, his discovery led to the lithium-graphite anode now used in commercial lithium ion batteries.

So in summary, we will all benefit immensely from crowdfunding all over the World. No doubt there will be new opportunities for investors in this newly discovered market.

With a working platform which can be seen at their showcase, Acorn Collective are almost ready.
