What I love about calligraphy

My calligraphy exercice

Working on my calligraphy skills reminds me of a stay in Mount Kōya, Japan. In a Buddhist monastery I visited a class in order to obtain information and techniques about traditional Japanese calligraphy. At first I was disappointed when I got nothing but a bunch of sheets with preprinted letters to copy. Now that I repeat the exercise with the ornate "H" from the font "Medusa" by designer Ramiro Espinoza: Again, joyful excited motion, quietly led by black ink.
