This is an event organized by KL Sketchnation founded by @kymio. In this event, there are 5 elements of art being exhibit and perform to the public. This includes sketching, music, video, drawing and poetry. This event is like a dream come true for @kymio and his team as the last event that was held like this nature was like 5 years ago. This time, the generous Lot 10 Mall (YTL) agreed to become the venue sponsor for the event and this had save up a lot of cost for the NGO. Besides, there are sponsors like Pilot, Weststar, Cendana, F&N and GarisPXL.
The event itself revolves around the idea of getting people to sketch and express themselves through the most direct interpretation from our own senses, which is sketching. In comparison to saying out loud, sketching is more detailed and people would need to think a bit more to put it on paper. This practice could train people to get their idea visualize in a better way. Rather than just describe it in words, why not put it on paper. Even a simple sketch like a few lines and very messy, it could be translated into a masterpiece in due time. That is the message that KLSketchnation want to spread around through this sketch festival. Along with the Fiesta of Art in The City under Cendana Malaysia, Locus Sketch Festival is also part of the big event supported under Malaysia government.
On the first day, the turn up was considerably normal as the crowd will usually be there during weekend. Therefore, we are looking forward for the coming two days which is today and tomorrow. For those who are in Malaysia and specifically in KL, do come and support the event.
Oh ya, @kymio and his friends are also opening up some workshop to get people to have handson experience for arts. This is a rare ocassion to have so many artists come together and teach their secret techniques to the people. Something not to be missed!
There are around 10 booths of art vendors exhibiting their products here. No doubt, all of them are unique and worth a look at!
