2020 was a rough year, but was the core set for Magic: The Gathering bearing that name any good? Let's open a pack and see what we get! I will add my own commentary for each card in this post, so please

After a visit to the doc for a routine checkup, I went to my friendly local game store and added a brand new booster pack to my purchases. Apparently Wizards of the Coast is experimenting with an optional

The first Theros block a few years back delved deep into Greco-Roman influences, and this follow-up set continued the trend. All told, the pack wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad, either. Underworld

It seems to me that Magic Monday should be a thing. Let's open a booster pack of cards for Magic: The Gathering and see what I get! Feel free to comment with your thoughts on these cards! I am not invested

A 2021 Core Set pack and a 2021 Core Set promo pack with lots of foils and a premium price. Were they worth it? You tell me!

I bought a new pack of Magic: The Gathering cards when I was in Spokane the other day. The Gamer's Haven offers new packs at a slight discount from MSRP. They were out of the new War of the Spark set,

Time to open another pack of Magic: The Gathering cards! This is from the Oath of the Gatewatch set, which has been out of print for a while. It had some good cards and some stupid gimmicks, as is often

Ravnica is one of the most popular settings in Magic: The Gathering. The cards and storyline describe a plane where a vast city is ruled by ten guilds, representing the two-color combinations of the five

I have opened a few of these for previous releases. Let's look at a Dominaria Booster Battle Pack! The idea here is to start playing a simplified version of the game using two 30-card decks. There are

After a couple years of experimentation with two blocks per year, each composed of two sets of cards, Wizards of the Coast is returning to their previous release schedule of annual core sets and blocks

This pack was great, I got a Verix Bladewing . This is a bomb in draft, I think a great tempo card for standard or any format. You can't beat a 4/4 flying for 4! also an extra ability that could sway the

You need to see below to see what rare I got. My video got cut off half way through filming... I'm not sure what happened, maybe my phone hard drive became so full that my Iphone decided to stop recording.

This is the last of my prize packs from the Dominaria Magic the Gathering pre-release. Another kind of disappointing pack. Nothing I need for any planned decks. I really wanted to get at least one more

Battle for Zendikar is a block that revived elements of the old Zendikar block, and it featured a return of the colorless Eldrazi creatures along with new colorless spells. Today, I will open pack from

I opened the second prize pack from the pre-release of the newest Magic the Gathering set Dominaria. This pack was not as exciting as the first, but I learned something. I didn't notice how the cards are

Time to crack open another pack of cards for Magic: The Gathering! This time, I'm opening a Dragon's Maze pack from a few years back. The set was not especially well-regarded by collectors or competitive

What an amazing pack to open! The value was off the charts! I'm usually not very lucky with packs, but this one was worth the MSRP (although I got it for free as a prize from the prerelease the other day).

Here is part 1 of 2 of me opening a pack from every set in the Onslaught block. This was an amazing block to draft. Legions was the only set to have nothing but creatures, which was really fun to mini-master

Wizards of the Coast released a couple special sets of cards specifically designed for booster draft events and included special cards that affect the draft experience as an extra game mechanic. These

Since people seemed to like my last upload, here is another of my old series. I originally started numbering the episodes, but I stopped some way through. I'm going to post them out of order based on which
