It is pointless debating people in the cognitive realm of flat-earthers.

By now most of you have probably seen dozens of these graphics released by various hospitals.

They all show the same thing: hard evidence that the vaccines offer outstanding protection against severe illness.

For folks living through a pandemic, this is about as good as good news gets.

However..

I have just seen, for about the 3700th time, some abject goddamned moron make the claim "Why don't they ("they") ever tell us about the vaccinated folks that end up in hospitals, huh? Why don't we ever hear how many of those folks there are? What are they (the CDC, the public health agencies, the hospitals, etc) hiding?"

The CDC keeps track of that data and it's publicly available.

Don't like using CDC data? Various groups of epidemiologists aggregate that data and publish it in the MMWR.

Don't trust the MMWR? A couple of dozen state agencies track and report that data publicly.

Think all of the epidemiologists and biostaticians at the various state agencies are all a secret part of the deep-state? Various large municipalities (like Los Angeles) collect and publicly report the same data.

Think that every single epidemiologist and biostatician in America is part of a giant conspiracy? Dozens of hospitals make that data public.

Think that every single American involved in healthcare is part of a massive conspiracy? Israel makes that data publicly available and easily accessible.

If your offspring is one of those who makes idiotic statements like "why don't they tell us how many vaccinated folks end up in the hospital?" now would be a good time to ask yourself where you went wrong as a parent. If you're a teacher and your former students are asking that question, this would be an excellent time to reflect on the failings of our high schools.

We're close to the point where there is an appreciable portion of the American public that should probably just be rounded up, stuck in a pasture, and be allowed to safely chew cud for the rest of their days.

In retrospect, it seems like failing to put mind-control chips in the dewormer was a strategic error.
