Quarantine Diaries: Day 226

The second (and last) Presidential debate last night was Trump’s last real chance to trounce Biden, and he failed. For the first debate, the strategy was to constantly interrupt Biden in a bid to rattle him; it just made Trump look like that that rude uncle the rest of the family tries to avoid. The strategy for the second debate was to let Biden talk and show himself to have dementia. Yeah, that didn’t work either.

The coronavirus section of the debate in particular did not go well for Trump. I’ve yet to see a story anywhere about his assurance that the coronavirus is “going away” being believed by anyone with a pulse. “We’re learning to live with it,” Trump said of the coronavirus. “We have no choice.” Which seemed to completely contradict his push to have a vaccine released ASAP. And claiming that “some people” think he’s immune? Gotta give Biden credit for not laughing out loud at that one.

At this point, I’d be very surprised if Biden doesn’t get at least 300 Electoral College votes. If you think I’m blowing smoke, please feel free to put your crypto where your mouth is. On Hive-Engine, I have positions in both Biden Wins and Trump NO tokens. You could buy into Trump Wins and/or Trump Yes and one of us could take the other’s Hive.

Trump Speaks At Length During Debate In Indecipherable Code Of Far-Right Fever Swamps

In another section — intended to be focused on race-related issues — Trump looped back to Hunter Biden again, including a reference to the fabled “laptop from hell.”
The president was in fact riffing on Rudy Giuliani’s more alliterative “hard drive from hell,” which, Giuliani claims, is the property of Hunter Biden and will become the source of many more information dumps. It’s not clear if the emails released from the hard drive so far are real, foreign disinformation, domestic ratfuckery, or even really what they purport to reveal. The situation is so replete with red flags that only the likes of the New York Post would touch it with a ten-foot pole.

Feds say Ivan Harrison Hunter helped burn and loot the Third Precinct building as part of a coordinated attack from the far-right group trying to ignite an American civil war.

Austin Police Released Boogalo Boi After He Allegedly Shot Up Burning Minneapolis Precinct

What’s perhaps more mind-boggling than the details of the attack is that Austin Police Department officers actually had stopped Hunter in tactical gear, with multiple firearms he claimed weren’t his and weed, five days after the May 28 protest in Minneapolis. Hunter allegedly volunteered that he was a leader of the Boogalo Bois in South Texas and had been present at the precinct burning. But the officers released him and his friends without arresting them.
