Hello! Wow! We received a wonderful amount of nominations with some fantastic entries for the first week of our contest! It was really tough to pick a winner!
@isaria, Jeffy the Cat, Snibby the Cat, and I went through the entries and without conferring with each other ranked them by our favorites and assigned a point value to the order. We then compared notes and picked the winner by most points.
We also upvoted most of the creative submissions with the @steemcreative account!

Shane thought his composition was absolutely beautiful and Isaria thought it was a haunting, cinematic classic.
The prizes have been sent out and we're ready to start week 2!
One of the reasons we chose this prize allocation structure was an attempt to get more engagement on the platform.
We were pleased as punch to see so many Steemians interacting in the comments of the submission post!
We were also thrilled to see so many wonderful submissions. We are now working on a plan to offer some runner up prizes!
