Construction - squash box ready to use crop Oct. 2021.jpg

When I stood by the stove on Monday morning, I could feel a flow of very cold air coming from above. It seemed to be coming out of the cabinet over the stove vent. So the carpenter tackled that problem first thing on Tuesday morning.

The carpenter then worked on the squash boxes and got one finished. His helper set up the saw horses and covered them with 2” x 4” to hold the 3 boxes. On Wednesday my helpers will get the squash down in the boxes. That will free up about ⅓ of the dining room table. If he gets the other 2 done, we can bring the butternut squash down and free up the pantry floor.

Once they are finished he will do a couple things left on the Winterization Punchlish and that project will be done. He can resume work on the laundry that needs 2 thresholds, or the clean room that needs a punch list. Once we finish those areas, we can start on the kitchen.
