Conscious Music you have probably never heard of | #47 | Lab's Cloud - Connecting On A Deeper Level

Please excuse the double post, I seemed to have messed up with esteem on scheduled posting.

Though the title is slightly cheesy this record is truly something special and it does its name complete justice. A beautiful and modern psybient excursion into steady wondrous beats and colorful sensations of a slightly trippish universe that is well-suited for people longing for something fresh and mind-tingling in times where the heart and quality of most music seems to fade by the day into uniformity and mundane presentation. This album is quite the opposite, reminding us how deep music of a warm character can go.

The tracks point into a psychedelic direction but come rather smooth and organic which makes them perfect for meditating, going on a mind-journey or just relaxing the mind by getting lost in the universe painted here in sound.

The album would be a marvellous break on a festival for taking some time to recharge from the high fidelity mainfloor action, as well as for meeting some interesting people. Good psybient just tends to be a magnet to likeminded people. Though slow, many of the tracks on here are danceable and can bring out wondrous insights into one's own way of being if we can let go far enough to be carried away by the music and translate it into body movements. As I often mentioned, meditating to good music comes easier to me than sitting and trying to quiet the mind, maybe you will feel the same way!
