Dear Steemians!
Today I went out to take this picture of the flame flower (Phlox)
Flame flowers, more commonly known under their botanical name Phlox, are a genus of flowering plants within the family of polemoniaceae.
They are used as ornamental plants in temperate areas almost worldwide. The right location for Phlox is bright and airy, so leaves and flowers can dry quickly after a downpour. There are different species and they bloom from spring to late summer. Some varieties can grow up to 130 centimeters high.
The genus Phlox occurs mainly in North America, but also in North Asia to European Russia.
This is my entry for #colorchallenge Sunday Purple. #colorchallenge is a contest initiated by @kalemandra.
