Classic Car Road Trip to Clarence.
I am starting today's post with the same photo, I ended yesterday's post, as this is where our 1000km road trip from Pretoria to Clarence started. It was early on a cold winters morning, (June is winter time in South Africa) and still dark when we started our trip.
Soon it became light and we were travelling quite well. The road was mostly long and straight, with fields on both sides of the road. Winter time is dry in most parts of South Africa, with rainfall occurring in the Summer, thus the fields were quite dry.
At one of the pitstops, my sister-in-law, made this drawing in the dew that formed on the cars window, during the stop, for breakfast.
Below we are nearing our end destination, Clarence, with the beautiful Maluti Mountains as a backdrop. Some info on the Maluti Mountains. This mountain range forms part of the border between South Africa and Lesotho, and forms part of the Drakensberg mountain range.
Below is a short video of us driving, just listen at how good the car sounds.
We made a few stops along the road to stretch legs and also have a bite to eat.
We finally reached our destination and this was the view from our room, which we enjoyed a lot.
We had a great trip to Clarence, with the cars behaving very well, and we did not have any hiccups on our way to Clarence.
Soon I will post more on our stay in Clarence.
I hope you enjoyed the post and that you have a wonderful day.
