"AIRHEADS" My 1st Movie Review
Hello everyone my name is Patrick Simpson. I am so glad to see CineTv come to life.
For My 1st movie review I want to take you back to August 1994 when "AIRHEADS" came out.
Back to the last days of HeadBangers Ball On MTV.
Back to when hairmetal was mostly dead and Grunge metal was rearing it's head!
This movie has some actors that today many folks know very well.

This movie is about 3 desparate band mates that go to extreme lengths to get their demo heard on the radio station out in L.A. California.
They decide to break into a radio station to get their demo heard. They didn't really plan to take hostages but they ended up doing so.
Once inside the radio station,"KPPX Rebel Radio", soon to be called the "The Sound" things spin out of control and their band called the "Lone Rangers" begin their journey to fame.
It is not long bbefore the police are involved and chaos ensues.
Once they take over the radio station(with water guns) they are able to get the station manager to get them a reel to reel tape player, so that they can play their demo.
Yeah they did not have a cd or cassette.
They are only able to play like 10 seconds of it before it is destroyed by a fire in an ashtray
At this point they try to escape only to find that they are being surrounded by the police....
So they decide to take everyone in the radio station hostage
This leads to them eventually making demands.....like really outragous demands, but it was only to buy time
Mean while the Police are also trying to track down the lead guitarist/singers girl friend cause she has a cassette of the bands song.
Well once they find her she gets to the radio station, a fight ensues because the cassette is practically destroyed.
Eventually they are able to get a legit record contract with "Palatine Records"; But there is an issue.....
The record executive did not listen to the demo...this pisses of the lead singer and he wipes his ass with his newly signed contract!!!
The Lone Rangers end up in prison with the radio staions DJ becoming their manager...They released their 1st record from prison...live at that!!
This is one of my favorite's because...
This movie really captured the enviroment of the late 80's and early 90's with how my generation behaved, and where we were at culturally.
They had one hell of a sound track too.
But to this day It is very hard to find the movie version of the song "Dengenerated" on mp3....but I have found these videos for your pleasure below:
