Keeping Christ in Christmas

Inspired by a post by my good friend @silversaver888 called "The Reason for the Season," I'm sharing images of the nativity scenes that decorate our home every Christmas.

This first nativity, featuring a cardboard stable, is the nativity that decorated my family's home when I was a child.

The next few images are of the "main" nativity that we decorate with. The stable was handmade by my father many years ago and has survived many moves.

The main figures are Hummels and Goebels...

...but, of course, we had to augment the scene with Analees.

Besides the Analee dolls on our main nativity, we have an Analee nativity scene as well:

Lastly, we also decorate outside our house with a large nativity. One of these years, I'm going to have to make a wooden stable for these figures...

I'm not sure if there were deer in Bethlehem, but we're in Texas ya'll:

Well, that's a look at how we keep Christ in Christmas, and celebrate the real reason for the season! Have a Merry Christmas, ya'll, from our house to yours!
