#YOU ARE AN AMBASSADOR

But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].

So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.
2ND COR. 5:18 & 20(AMP)

The moment we believe and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, an exchange is automatically made.

He takes away all our sins and makes us clean and right before our God. Our sins were laid on Christ by His death on the cross.

According to the book of 1 Pet. 2:24,

He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.

At our submission and surrendering to Him, His righteousness was given to us in exchange of our sins. This is what Christians mean by Christ's atonement for sin.

During the trade by barter time, goods and services of same and equal value were exchanged for one another. But in this case, God offers to trade His righteousness for our sins which has no basis of comparison.

Imagine righteousness of measurable value exchanged for sin. Something completely useless!

For this great show of kindness He has shown to us, we are expected to show gratitude.

Beloved, God reconciled us back to Himself by washing away our sins through the shedding of the blood of His son Jesus Christ on the cross and making us right with Him.

When we surrender ourselves to God, we are no longer God's enemies, nor strangers nor foreigners to Him.

Since we have been reconciled to Him, we have the privilege of letting others see reasons with us on why they have to do the same thing we have done, and thus, our role is to reconcil people to God.

As christians, we are the ambassadors of Christ. We have been given an assignment to reconcil the world to God.

When we say ambassador, what do we mean? According to Dictionary.com: http://www.dictionary.com/browse/ambassadior an ambassador is an official representative of one country to another.

An ambassador of reconciliation therefore has an important responsibility, and we dare not take it for granted

How well are we fulfilling our mandate as Christ's ambassadors?

We need to know that we are saved to save others.

Let us begin to testify to others about Christ, and how He saved us from our sins, through His blood on the cross and that He can save them too.

May God Almighty reward us here and eternally even as we reconcile others to Him as we have been reconciled to Him in Jesus name.

Remain blessed.
