The whole idea was created in the empty building of the ex Vietnamese supermarket in the early days of March to the really cool looking spot for 70+ people living since April 2022

Official Story

Russian photographer Pavel Oskin is fighting President Vladimir Putin in his own way, opening his doors to Ukrainian refugees in the Czech capital and helping them get jobs to start life afresh.

How I met Pavel

I've been traveling to Prague over 20 times before in July 2022 me and my family used to settle here. Few years ago my friend and colleague @beertourism Artem decided to open a beer store in Prague's historical district Zizkov, on Milicova street. A place called Pivoteka Zizkov became very popular attracted lots of beer tourists all around the world, having the most powerful beer range and competitive prices.

There was that exact time, when I first heard about Pavel Oskin and his awesome photography lifestyle.

We finally met in 2022, before that I followed him on Facebook, being blown away by what he does to help refugees from Ukraine.

We finally met for a beer in "Spravovna" restaurant for an awesome unfiltered Pilsner Urquell where he told his story.

Cost of living

how it all started in March 2022 when only the walls were built

The main question regarding the refugees is the high cost of living in Prague compared to the Ukrainian cities. At the moment, such organizations as Dum Dobra and other private investors and volunteers keep helping @bohniceasylum people to have their fridges filled. 80% people living there are mothers with small children, that sometimes you can't leave alone. Aside from that, Pavel and his team are in the final stages of releasing their UBER kinda cleaning service mobile application so people can get at least some working hours per day! I'm really impressed with Pavel's motivation and couldn't stay aside from the process.

The second main is the monthly fees, that are getting higher due to the economic situation and gas / electricity pricing. For now to keep the @bohniceasylum alive monthly burn rate is ± 7000 EUR, while the government does like 10-15% of the required support.

Brainstorming

The idea is to give people a rod, so they could get a fish that is old as the world is!

  • My thoughts were to create a community for the people living there, and do some educational programs about Hive Blockchain, and how they can use it to earn some crypto out of it!

  • Created a @bohniceasylum account for funding and a reports, community @hive-101552 created for curators would curate the asylum related posts. Looking fwd to running an offline event to introduce people to the Hive blockchain in mid October.

  • Asking @hivefest people to support and reblog this post, to bring more potential supporters and backers from Hive community

  • Created Bohnice channel in the local Discord Community to answer the questions and keep people updated

  • Ask for advisory and cooperation regarding the project among Hive community leaders

How can you help?

  • add @bohniceasylum to your beneficiaries (any 5% would help globally)
  • repost this post to your local communities
  • buy any comfortable amount of BCF token on the @tribaldex
  • donate any comfortable amount of crypto
