Games/ Challenges are important to promote interactions between Steemians: You should join or create them.

Steemit can (and is) hacked to created betting games. Here I explain why you will find more and more of those games and why you should play. I also give the rules to invent your own game and make it successful (At least that is what I am trying to do).

For example

Just look at the tags:

Either with your skills or luck you can join and win.

Why you should join!

First thing first you can earn some STEEM ($$). You might lose some of your time thinking about a strategy but the vast majority of games I came across don't require you to bet some coin. So the incentive is huge: all you got to do is up-vote and play *generally. You can actually avoid doing so, but does it cost you anything to upvote?
The author is happy, the winner is happy, the players are almost happy.

The rules of a good game

(almost) free entrance

You want the vote or the comment or both. Nothing much. Gettin' in should be the easiest part.
This increase participation.

easy rules

I saw a chess game on Steemit... Cool idea but way too complicated. You need as much players as you can get . You also want to make sure they come back. You have to find to good trade-off between difficulty (not too easy) and attractivity.

Participation (human not bots)

Your rules should make it interesting to participate. One time comment is awesome from the author standpoint but allowing more for the users to interact more. You will then have more chance to see them back (get them addicted :-)). But at the same time, care must be taken so that you don't give too much advantage to automatised users. Welcome to the Steemit Matrix.

Rewards

If your wallet is a heavy, you can propose decent rewards. If not you do like everyone else and propose the Steem (Dollars), knowing that you will keep the Steem Power.
Remember there are two ways to participate to a game:

1-Either you play: by the rules, by hacking the rules ...
2-Either you create the game (think ponzi)...

Let me know if you found any interesting game on Steemit.
