Home Education Curation Collection. 6th April 2024

We had a lovely mixture of topics this week. I'm disappointed in myself that I missed some of the posts earlier in the week. To reflect that I've put a couple of under rewarded authors in as beneficiaries.

First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:

@leomarylm
@emmaris
@nubra11

I recently saw a wonderful video of a teacher guiding a student in finding facts in order to be able to form their own opinion through critical thinking. It was lovely to see that guidance without judgement on the student so they didn't feel forced to a particular conclusion. Then today this way of teaching was echoed in @Romeskie's post on presenting ideas vs imposing your opinions. It's not an easy task, but it seems to be a very rewarding one, nevertheless.

From @leomarylm and her eldest daughter comes a game about recycling made by recycling. It was made as a project for school, but the family had a fantastic time trying it out before presentation.

Every child has their own way they learn best and will learn quicker when that can be catered for. For children with autism, finding that learning method is even more important for them to be able to advance. With this in mind, @emmaris created some eye catching vowel cards to help her son with his literacy.

Do your children like puzzles? I know many do and @taliakerch found an inexpensive way to play logic games using matches. It kept them busy for about an hour too. 😆

Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @amphlux as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
