Many Mini Coopers arrived en masse to join the celebrations for the return of Goodwood Revival this year, as well as their 60th Anniversary.
Not only did they zoom around, they battled on the track during a 45 minute race in honour of Sir John Whitmore. He became Champion of the British Saloon Car competition during his first year of racing, driving a 1961 Mini.
They also showcased a range of Mini's for their 60th, which was the perfect way to pay homage to the history of Mini whilst highlighting the future of the brand.
To watch these guys in these original Mini's is utterly amazing, it is literally Mini Magic. Seeing them drift around the circuit, with smoke curling around the wheels is something else...Bear in mind, these are all heavily modified, as a Mini is fo life (not just for Christmas)
As we've pointed out before, Goodwood Revival is more than just an event, it is an extravaganza, celebrating all things motorised, and the world that surrounds it.
Everywhere you look is a paean to the pre 1966 automotive industry, and the vibe is amazing. If you love cars, a trip to Revival is a must!
Thank you, all, and enjoy!
