Ahhh, road trips! As you may know, we are rather fond of them here at Planetauto 🤗
So it was - without a doubt - a genuine pleasure to be invited to the first ever Genesis Range Day for the Northern Group of Motoring Writers.
As automotive journalists, Ben and I had the privilege to be accepted into the NGMW last year. They are the oldest regional group of this kind in the U.K. and we are the very first YouTubers to be accepted.
Being part of such a group means we get invites to group events, and when Genesis ran one, we were delighted to be able to attend.
So that saw us venturing over the Pennines on a very blustery day in early December. As we had the Kona Hybrid on review that week, it seemed like fate!
What we found during that eventful trip is how well the Kona handles in tough weather conditions, which you will see.
As it was, Storm Barra was raging, meaning we had to head home early, as due to family events, we couldn't risk getting stuck on the wrong side of the Pennines if the weather brought too much snow. With yellow weather warnings in place from the Met Office, it was better to be safe rather than sorry...
Luckily for us, the lovely people at Genesis have booked us in to review their GV70, and it arrives tomorrow. Hurrah!
