We are far from anyone who could help us, at our old apartment, in an area where Arthur doesn't speak the language, where having the car moved would cost us a bridge (literally), where the parking is not at all convenient to repair the car.

So our only low-cost option is to order the part we think is defective, wait for it to arrive, and mount it on our car.
Hoping it's the starter and not the engine.
