Two decades ago, on 3 October 1996, the launch of the very first Boxster type 986 at the Paris Motor Show announced a revolution at Porsche: the end of the culture "single product", with certainly the catalog a 911 undisputed icon of the low rider, but additionally some financial difficulties as a result of too confidential production. "This superb Boxster", since it was then qualified also had to put itself as "the least expensive types of the German brand ".With a small flat-6 2.5 l 204 horsepower engine, a little limited in its performance, it was immediately adopted by both customers and the automotive press. "Beautiful, affordable, pleasant," the "little Porsche" has always had excellent press, specialized journalists appreciate the style, the street holding and the value-price-pleasure, but after 20 years of presence on our roads, few francophone sites are entirely dedicated to them, such as this one.
To celebrate these two decades, my ambition is, from articles, commercial documentation of Porsche and my own experience in Boxster, to provide the many models already produced along with the limited series.
