Those of you that don't know what BC bud is, well, you're missing out. BC bud is the incredible cannabis that is grown in British Columbia, Canada, known to contain up to 30% THC by weight and widely considered to be some of the best in the world. Being Canadians myself, I have the luxury of ordering this bud right to my door. I recently received an order and I would like to share my review on some of the strains. Enjoy!
GRAPE GOD:
Appearance: 9.5/10 BIG buds, good trim, covered in frost. Densely formed, sticky, burned AMAZING to the cleanest ash.
Smell: 9.7/10 Sweet grape candy, ripe berries, very very nice in the jar. Bet you can't smell just once.
Taste: 9.2/10 Light grapey taste, smooooooooth on the exhale.
High: 8.7/10 This one was hard to rate I found. A slow onset, creeps up on you and comes up behind your face. Not overwhelmingly strong, but progresses into a hazy euphoria with minimal body effects. Almost no burnout to speak of.
Overall: 9/10 This is a beautiful strain, though I found it to be priced fairly high for what it was. That isn't to say it isn't a totally special bud that you should definitely try if you haven't yet.
ROMULAN:
Appearance: 9.8/10 Medium sized buds, a mosaic of green shades with a frosted orange spiderweb tightly binding it together, coated in crystal. Beautiful AAAA trim and flush.
Smell: 10/10 easy. Rotting citrus, green apple candies, pine, spices, cheesy funk, this was absolutely incredible. Never had such an intriguing nose on any kind of weed.
Taste: 9.8/10Spicebox,hash, pine, green apple. This stuff was a rare jewel, and everything about it was amazing to the senses.
High: 9.8/10 Heavy indica melt, not for the light toker. This would be excellent video game/reading/music weed, as I remained mentally sharp and engaged with some nice sativa qualities, but I did not want to get up and go.
LOVE POTION #1:
Appearance: 9.2/10 Medium sized light green dense nuggets. Excellent crystal formations and beautiful trichomes. Breaks up fluffy and was cured/trimmed very well.
Smell: 9.5/10 LEMONY mmmmmm, strong lemon smell, borderline Mr. Clean smell with citrusy skunky notes in the rear.
Taste: 9.1/10 Citrusy lemon pine. Smooth exhale.
High: 9.6/10 Buzzy, blissful, jolting, energizing. A sharp sativa, almost racy if you smoke enough, but overall this stuff will just put you in a straight up good mood. Get up and go with a bowl full of this with your morning coffee and you'll be set proper.
Overall: 9.4/10 A real zinger, and a must-try for any Sativa lovers out there ;)
KALI MIST:
Appearance: 7/10 This one wasn't the prettiest, darker green with long orange hairs, loosely formed buds for the most part. Lots of small stems and a bit of shake in my order. One bud was about 2.5g and the rest were under .3-.4. Lots of crystals on the buds, not visible in the shots above without flash, but if you zoom in on the ones with flash you can see they are generously covered. Burned beautifully to a white ash.
Smell: 9.5/10 Sharp, piercing, fresh, lime candies and citrus, a bit of spice. Really pungent as you break it up, had to keep this one in a jar in order to not reek up my entire room.
Taste: 8.8/10 Citrusy, full bodied, creamy. Bit of spiciness on the tip of the tongue but smooth on the exhale.
High: 9.8/10 Productive, clear, social, well balanced with snappy cerebral qualities and heavy body effects. Fantastic pain relief qualities, after about 20 minutes of playing some music I walked upstairs and sat down on the couch and felt my back awash with a heavy indica melt, felt I was sitting on a warm marshmallow.
Overall: 9.4/10 This one was ugly as hell but goddamn it did it come through in the clutch. Fantastic potent high, good all-purpose smoke. Would love another example of this to roll on through.
