The 11th state to legalize cannabis is..... Illinois!!

A historical day for the citizens of Illinois as their legislature just passed a bill legalizing recreational use of cannabis for those 21 years and older. The bill has passed in the Illinois House and Senate and is on its way to Gov. J.B. Pritzker who has already stated he will sign the bill into law. This makes Illinois the first state to successfully create a commercial cannabis industry through legislature instead of voter initiative. Eligible citizens will be allowed to buy a little more than an ounce of cannabis within a 30 day period and visitors will also be able to take part in the recent passing of the law with a limit of 15 grams per 30 day period. Along with the passing of the law, those with convictions related to cannabis will soon see them scrubbed off their records as the law changes. Expect to see the first dispensaries opening up in the area as soon as Jan, 1st 2020. Congrats citizens of Illinois!!!!
