Stress and Cancer Connection

There is no surprise that stress causes many disease and issues in our daily lives. Everyone is aware of what stress can do, but do we really understand the implications?

Stress is known to weaken the immune system , increase heart disease and many other conditions. However, a new study done in Australia has found that stress allows cancer to metastasize six times faster than previously thought.

Australian researchers tracked cancer cells using mice. They used a fluorescent marker and tagged them to the cells. Through the use of an advanced imaging machine they noticed some incredible things.

The images created by this scanner showed that stress increased the rate the fluid flowed through the lymph system. Basically, chronic stress creates what they termed "cancer super highways" which occurred in the lymph system.

Getting a cancer diagnosis is a stressful thing, but even if you don't have cancer, it is crucial to learn to manage stress in order to help your chances of bypassing this awful disease, which is completely avoidable.

Unfortunately, mainstream medicine is not very helpful when it comes to cancer or any other illness for that matter. Instead of trying to diminish stress, which they know (or maybe not) is a huge immune system suppressor, they aggravate it using barbaric and deleterious treatments such as chemo, radiation or antibiotics.
