It has been a couple years since the Canada eCoin project created it's steemit account. It is about time for an introduction!
The Canada eCoin Project
The Canada eCoin project was originally funded by a group in Edmonton in March of 2014. It is a scrypt-auxpow based coin with 30 second block times and a mostly Canadian community. A year after the launch, funding was pulled and the original creators moved on to other projects. The Canada eCoin project became a community project after a community takeover happened in 2015.
Our Vision for our Future
That every Canadian has the right knowledge and tools to ensure their own ability, safety and privacy while operating within our technologically enriched nation.
Not just for Canadians
Even though we are a strictly Canadian group in regards to our focus on use-cases and solutions, The Canada eCoin project serves as an example for any nation. As we focus our time and energy on solving issues at the national level, we are mindful that these issues exist in other countries too.
Think globally, act locally.
Other national coins exist, and for good reason. Please consider supporting your national coin. A list of national coins are available at nationalcoin.org.
