TeePee on FaZe Clan’s Current Issues: “Not too surprising that they’re struggling”

Former Complexity and Evil Geniuses player Tyler ‘TeePee’ Polchow has given his thoughts on the reason for some of FaZe Clan’s current issues in Call of Duty: WWII.

The 2014 world champion knows a thing or two about winning, having been a part of the Complexity dynasty that dominated the majority of the Black Ops 2 and Ghosts seasons.

Now retired, TeePee is one of the more respected analysts in CoD esports thanks to his wealth of knowledge about the game and the players that he competed with or against for so many years.

In a surprising twist of events TeePee announced on November 18th that he was “not needed” as an analyst for the CWL Dallas or NOLA tournaments.

However, fans of the veteran can still get their TeePee fix during the Harpoints podcast that he and fellow retired pro Joey ‘MerK’ Deluca with a focus on competitive Call of Duty.

In the second Hardpoints episode of the WWII season the two former champions discussed the most recent North American online 2K tournament which took place over the weekend.

Discussing yet another disappointing performance from FaZe Clan, TeePee commented on the team’s lack of a traditionally strong assault rifle player.

“We talked a little about FaZe before the show about how AR heavy the game is right now and talking about this lineup, do you have traditionally strong AR’s on this team? Looking at some of these other rosters, probably not right? This is not too surprising that they’re struggling but I feel like it is a team that can bounce back and really get it figured out, but time’s running out and the open bracket is going to be gauntlet.”

FaZe finished in 17th-32nd position after losing 3-0 to EnVyUs in the round of 32. However, they may be able to take some solace in the fact that the EnVy players then proceeded to advance right up to a top 4 finish.

TeePee and Merk go on to talk about how important assault rifle players are in WWII and also mention the difference in pacing compared to the previous 3 titles in the franchise.

The former champions discuss the possibility of the likes of Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparratto and Dillon ‘Attach’ Price struggling to adjust to the less aggressive meta than the advanced movement era games.

They also speculate that James ‘Replays’ Crowder’s return to activity is not working out after his time away from the game due to him not being a traditionally strong AR player.
