Hi Steemit!
If you've seen my earlier SeanyTravels Fukuoka series, you'd have seen that I visited the Line Friends Shop Fukuoka Branch: https://steemit.com/travel/@seanytan/seanytravels-japan-fukuoka-5-my-visit-to-the-line-friends-shop-and-cafe
But the Harajuku Branch is actually the first one I had visited in my life! I'd always associate this as the Main Branch, or rather the HQ of the LINE Friends Shops.
we set off from our home
We had an inexpensive lunch around our house area before we took a train to Harajuku.
I think one of the hardest places to walk in Tokyo might actually be in Harajuku's Takeshita Street. It's really crowded and dense, probably full of tourists. At the main entrance there is also a Hoshino's Coffee Branch, and many queue up there to eat/drink too.
If you don't want to walk through Takeshita Street (you should if it's your first time there just for the experience), you can walk along the side as well. There are other shops to check out!
You have to walk outside to find the LINE Friends Shop. It's not within Takeshita Street itself. I took many photos there!
Me, Sally and Brown!
For this branch, there are mainly 2 levels that you can access. Sometimes you can't go down to Basement 1 as they have some events, or it might be a certain purchase that unlocks that level for you. It was normal operations that day and we managed to see both levels.
nice and wacky decorations throughout the store
After visiting the LINE Friends shop, we headed for the Meiji Shrine just across the street, beside the station. It's really easy to navigate around these areas and the signs are very clear, so no worries in directions.
If you haven't visited the Meiji Shrine before, it's actually quite a long walk into the main part. This is just near the entrance of the Shrine. If you are 'lucky' enough, you might be able to witness a wedding procession. I think it must cost quite a bomb to hold it here.
Many people take photos in front of these Barrels!
