Monthly Update: Steemit's Alexa Ranking, April 29, 2018

For the last four months I have been tracking and posting about Steemit's Alexa rankings. Although Steemit has shown excellent growth since its beginning, the last two months Steemit has shown a very slight downward trend.

I'm greatly encouraged by two trends I see in the information below: 1. The recent surge in Steemit price appears to be reflected in an increase in activity on the site, and 2. There is a significant increase in Steemit traffic coming within India, the world's second-most populated nation, while several other nations are also paying more attention to Steemit.

Google Trends over the Last 90 Days

Google Trends is showing that a large percentage of Google searches in Venezuela are currently directed towards Steemit. Other nations showing a moderate Google search interest in Steemit include Myanmar (Burma), Nigeria, Bangladesh, and South Korea.

Google Trends over the Last 30 Days

For the last 30 days, Google Trends is showing a similar pattern, but South Korea was replaced by Uganda. I'm encouraged to see that Uganda is showing an increasing amount of interest.

Overall, I would have to agree with @truth-be-told concerning Steemit's overall performance. He told me in last month's update that Steemit trends tend to follow Bitcoin trends, and that does seem likely.

Tune in next month to continue watching Steemit's Alexa rankings.
