Gratitude Day 28/62: Freedom

Freedom is the most sacred of rights. It is complex to speak of freedom because both fascism and communism, democrats, socialists and in short, all swear to defend freedom.
Our constitution does not say what freedom is, opts for a healthy and useful criterion. Each time the Government approves a law and signals new crimes, our freedom is limited and those decisions (it is assumed) have some logic of social protection.
We have many freedoms. For example, the free emission of thought or freedom of religion that I practice when I go to mass. These "freedoms" are mine and nobody can mess with them.
In our country, some point out that if someone, for example, is "left", as "he is wrong" he can not exercise a public function, and after that simple and unscientious judgment people are looking "that is only right" because that is how we build what we have. Our Constitution is the product of ideological debate and that is its greatest treasure.
In Venezuela we reach this point to such an extent that some claim to detract from others even for their sexual preference, and so we portray ourselves as those who have spent the night in history. Sexual preference is no more than a legitimate exercise of freedom, and if this does not please someone, then look elsewhere.
No one should be discriminated against for being free. This is the time to build a true democratic society based on skills, honesty and principles, and for this the first golden rule is that teams do not all think alike or be equal. Let each one exercise his freedom without disturbing the neighbor. Talking about freedom is easy, respecting others is complex.
