We have three currencies on STEEM. Here is a partial list of ideas that help me earn sbd, steem and sp. I'm using posters that are 1.5 years old and getting ready to update this whole thing again. So I figured you could watch me work.
Keep in mind these tips are for new people. There are other things to do, but they work better when you have been here longer.
Comment 5-50 times a day with something interesting. Join the Engagement League of @abh12345 and learn from the people on the top of the list. Look at their comments and try to do similar work.
Find out how to vote effectively to earn curation rewards. People with the same sp get dramatically different results here. This is another place the Engagement League of @abh12345 will help you.
Ask questions in your comments. Make it pertinent to the post of the blog in general. This way the author is more likely to respond.
Answer any question people ask in a post title or text. Answer only if you know the answer and if someone else has not already answered.
Giveaways and contests are everywhere in steem. The daily @contestkings post has them and they appear on steemnow all day long.
I win a lot because you do not enter.
When you find challenges or contests you like - schedule yourself to be ready for them and try to get in weekly.
What are successful people doing with their steem money? Lurk around and find out!
Find out who gives money in wallet spam and follow them so you will get that money too. Look at people's wallets on occasion for this purpose.
Many people on steem offer to upvote, resteem, tweet and comment on your posts if you simply drop your link into their post. Some are daily, weekly or occasional.
Do what is required and reap the benefit in upvotes, sbi shares, steem, or sbd.
Do you have a message? Mine is Natural Weight Loss. When I see a good opening, I talk about it.
If you have less than 500 sp, lease sp until you do get 500 of your own. Much better results than powering up directly, and your own sp will grow much faster if you vote well. Don't be a nobody when you do not have to be.
Post on a schedule. If it is once a day do that. Do not post three times a day and then nothing for days. Spread the posts out.
After you post on steem - your next task is replying to people who have
- commented on your posts
- replied to your reply.
Do not leave people hanging or they will not come back.
Get on Twitter, fb, Instagram etc, and share your steem posts daily. Share other people's good posts too.
If you are not sure what to promote on other platforms, promote what you upvoted. Maybe someone else will see it and upvote too. Then you get a better curation reward.
New developments happen on steem daily. Read widely and be open to trying new things.
Watch for people who upvote the comments they get on their posts. Then comment if you have something to add and reap the rewards.
