The Funnel Cake is a meal that is not usually missed at fairs, events and festivals in the United States. To make it, a dough is prepared and fried to its particular shape with the help of a funnel. It can be served with icing sugar, jam, chocolate.... like a waffle.
INGREDIENTES
3 cups flour
¼ cup of sugar
2 teaspoons yeast
½ teaspoon of salt
3 eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2-¼ cup of milk
icing sugar
frying oil
PREPARACIÓN
Heat the oil in a large, deep frying pan.
Mix the dry ingredients and add the eggs, vanilla and milk.
If necessary, add a little more milk to achieve the desired consistency.
Place 1/2 cup of the mixture in a funnel and stir in circles over the oil.
Fry for 2 to 3 minutes, turning over when browned.
Remove from oil and drain on kitchen paper.
Sprinkle with icing sugar.
