Startup dev? This could literally save you months of development time.

Ideas are cheap; everyone has ideas all the time but the reality is most people don’t do anything with them. Were the founders of Uber and Airbnb really the first people to ever consider renting out spare rooms or using a personal car as a taxi service? No of course not. But they made it work.

If you have ever spent any time watching or reading about Amazon founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos you would realise that he is both an opportunist and now a futurist, focussing on his legacy and furthering humanity.

These two things are intrinsically linked; Amazon would not have existed if the infrastructure had not already been created and made accessible, he notes that because of the Internet, “two kids in a dorm-room created Facebook.” In a similar vein, Bezos sees his legacy as being lowering the price of admission to space exploration and doing the heavy lifting so that “two kids in a dorm-room” (around ~42mins) could potentially build something in space.

This concept of the price of admission actually exists in all industries and actively suppresses the vast majority of business ventures before they can really get started. For many startups, a combination of barriers to entry, lack of funding, market conditions and team composition spell death for up to 97%.

So what can be done?

Many of the the above reasons are systematic of one thing - time.

Startups, if they want to survive, have to move fast - faster than fast. In tech, there can be no time wasted on developing extensive system architecture and flashy prototypes. There is no funding without an MVP and there is no income without a product, therefore in terms of business success, every option to save time by building upon preexisting tech should be taken.

Primas has already been there and done that.

If you’re doing ANYTHING with online content, it’s worth checking out because it could save you months upon months of development - time you can’t afford to spend.

What is so useful about it?

  • Internet-wide tracking of online content (text/image) and intellectual property protection
  • Theoretically infinite scalability
  • Crazy low gas fees
  • Able to give content a unique digital fingerprint (DNA) to prove authenticity
  • Legally recognised proof of intellectual ownership
  • Optional incentive system built around the premise of user engagement and quality
  • Open sourced and free to use

Not sure if you heard but time is actually money these days so there’s no point sitting around and waiting for something better to come along, have to take your chances wherever they come from!
