Worst conspiracies hiding in plain site?

Whatever happened to the idea of thinking difficult thoughts, or having heated but still respectful discussions or reading complicated novels or histories?

Whatever happened to pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to see things that aren’t obvious or that require following clues left by better thinkers than you, by way of drawing us into being inspired by ideas that must be contemplated over and over until we finally make them our own?

When did we opt out of that kind of contemplation in favour of easy answers and quick, unsupported dismissals?

Life is not a quiz show… It’s a lifelong reflection that requires constantly teasing luminous strands of truth from out of confusing dark shadows.

I’m curious when real discussion went MIA for good...
