For todays #botanicalgardentours I want to show to you the Gaillardia Aristata, also known as the Blanketflower.
Für die heutigen #botanicalgardentours möchte ich euch die Gaillardia Aristata, die auch als Kokadenblume bekannt ist.
The Blanketflower is a wildflower that is common in the western regions of North America. She can be found from Yukon up in Canada to California and Arizona in the USA. The flowets can get up to 70 cm high and grows on thin stems. The leaves of the flower have a beautiful red colour in the inner and a yellow colour in the outer regions. There are also examples that a far more red then those ones I show here. The actual blossom is deep red to purple.
Die Kokadenblume ist eine Wildblume, die in den westlichen Regionen Nordamerikas verbreitet ist. Sie ist von Yukon in Kanada bis nach Kalifornien und Arizona in den USA zu finden. Die Blümchen können bis zu 70 cm hoch werden und wachsen an dünnen Stielen. Die Blätter der Blüte haben eine schöne rote Farbe im inneren und eine gelbe Farbe im äußeren Bereich. Es gibt auch Beispiele, die viel roter sind als die, die ich hier zeige. Die eigentliche Blüte ist tiefrot bis violett.
