This Is An Observation Of Some Of The Communities on This Platform!

This is an observation of some of the communities here on Steemit! Many of the communities here are tied to a group on Discord, I love the idea of that because not only are you seeing the posts on Steemit but you can go and chat with the people that are a part of that community.

I am a mod on the GHS Collective and a community leader in The Military Veterans Of Steemit communities. Those two groups are two of the groups that I really believe in and I am in those two chat rooms most of the time. I am a member of our communities on Steemit and Discord and I am not saying they are bad communities those are the two that mean the most to me and have helped me out the most in what I am trying to do on Steemit.

I support the veteran community because I am a veteran and sometimes only another vet can help you through the tough times and really understand without all the judgment that comes from other communities about the facts of being involved in wartime. It is great for me to be able to talk to other vets and get input from them about certain things that sometimes only another vet could understand. There are certain requirements in being a member of this group and one of them is you have to be a veteran or a strong supporter of veterans. That is because of the negativity some people have about the things that we did in a time of war or why we went to war. We have upvote bots for the vets to use on their posts and a great support system for vets and their supporters. If you are a veteran or a strong supporter of veterans and can show that you fall into one of these groups, check out this group on Discord.

The other community I am in is the GHS Collective. It is an open group of people that want to learn to be more reliant on themselves by learning how to grow their own food or how to simply make something from a stick of wood. We are a group of homesteaders, gardeners, homeschoolers, and woodworkers, or any trade or anything that helps you be more self-reliant. We have our own coin on the blockchain called global home coins that we can use to buy and sell in our group or reward bloggers for a great post or a great photo and it is linked to the wave coin. It is a new group and it is growing every day and getting better. Check out this group on Discord and know there are many more great ideas coming with this group of people.

Then there are other groups that have all the requirements of upvoting several posts a day and supporting this or that author and it is always just a select few when there are many good bloggers in the group. Having to follow a huge curation trail, not all curation trails are bad, with the Military Veterans Of Steemit group it helps support our witnesses, there is no curation group in the GHS Collective, that burns up your voting power and then only returns not even a penny per vote on your posts. Most of the time not even a tenth of a penny, it is discouraging when you put lots of effort in your posts and the groups that say they are supportive of your blog are not really helping support you just using you to support a select few.

All of this being said watch which groups you are getting into because just because they say they support you does not mean they really do, as they are in it for themselves and their friends. Sometimes you can be a small blog and not a lot of SP or your posts do not make much but you have a high reputation score because you are commenting and getting to know other people through conversations on blog posts. It will disqualify you from the benefits of that group that says it is there to support you.

If you are in a group be active in the group and see where you get in that group, if you get as much support as you give in that group then it is a good thing. If not start asking questions and see what you are told and if anything changes. Is it the same people all the time they are asking you to support with upvotes, comments, and resteems. Do they rotate the ask for upvotes? Do they comment to you in the Discord channel when you make comment there? Do they try to say "Hello" when you enter that Discord channel?

Just a few words and thoughts from someone who is discouraged by some of the groups he is in and was wondering if anyone else felt the same way. "Invisible" in some groups and not been seen on Steemit and just wondering what is going on? Hope everyone has a good day/night. Whatever it is in your part of the woods. Thanks for reading our blog. No matter what remember "Always Forward" no matter what comes. That is what I am trying to do, no matter what!

Please Do Not Forget To Follow, Upvote And Resteem!
