Oil and energy companies such as Exxonmobil, Chevron, ConokoPhilips, Hess, Pioneer Natural Resources, Spanish energy company Repsol and Norwegian company Equinor joined forces to create a blockchain consortium under auspices of the offshore drilling contractor committee. The main goal of the consortium is to set industry standards, and the use of new
technologies in the energy industry.
