Media contents have experienced different phases as technological innovation continues to change over time. The different generations have been proposed to make life easier and increase the efficiency of service rendered and received. The second generation looks very innovative publishers and content creators saw a need to capture a larger audience and embraced this model of promotion. These agencies posed to solve very many challenges faced by the first generation, and it was somewhat effective to some extent due to the audience reach. It takes your content to the world. Although it lacked some ingredient that could make content advertising better, an ingredient like transparency, there is no two-way communication between consumers and publishers. It still can not allow ordinary people to take part in the media economy. and content creators pay website owners an amount which is not disclosed and this amount is just available to website owners to enrich themselves, forgetting parties that play a part in the promotion of the content. In event of these setbacks, the next generation was born.

The Third Generation

The third generation involves the blockchain technology which solves all challenges faced by media creators or publishers. And platforms involved in this generation are the steemit, minds, golos etc. They try to create a transparent ecosystem that rewards content creators, with a wider audience. The idea is disruptive in itself and would be available for years to come, but still fail to reward the final consumer of this contents. and this loophole gave birth to the final evolution.

The Fourth Generation

The Fourth and final evolution of content advertising and the first and only players involved in the transformative technology is the Media Protocol. The media protocol leverages on the blockchain technology to create a transparent, sustainable, direct to consumers and efficient ecosystem that rewards content consumers for their activities when they like, share, comment or make a comment.
