In a statement made last week, ECB (European Central Bank) chairman Mario Draghi, known to friends as Mario Dragon, told the press that the ECB has no plans to regulate Bitcoin.
The chairman told the press that regulation of Bitcoin and it's brother and sister coins, was not on the agenda, but that he also feels that governments do not have the powers to regulate cryptocurrency. Yeah, being freed from central bankers like him, is not only a part of, but essential feature of Bitcoin, and especially Monero and Dash, as they truly focus on private transactions.
In the light of all the recent bans and reforms on the ICO front, this news is a very welcome change of tone for the moment, especially now that more and more countries around the world are trying to either temporarily or permanently banning ICO's.
